BIOGRAPHIC NEWS

Vincenzo Furio was born in Mola di Bari in 1993 into a family of musicians. After successfully completing several piano competitions as well as public performances, in 2003 he was admitted among the first in the rankings at the Conservatory “Nino Rota” of Monopoli in the class of Maestro Roberto Bollea.
He is the winner in over 20 national and international competitions, including
the national music competition “Igor Stravinsky” of Bari, the V National Competition “Giovani interpreters” of Pescara, the 1st International Competition “A. Bibaloby Duino, thePremio Annarosa Taddei “of Rome, the IX International Competition” Terra degli Imperiali “of Latiano, the X National Piano Competition” Hyperion – Sonja Pahor “of Rome, the XVII International Competition” Lams “of Matera and many others.
In 2008 he won the second prize at the audition for the award of the scholarship offered by the company Surgelsud dedicated to all the
students and chamber groups of the Conservatory of Monopoli, while in 2013 he was a fnalist at the Soroptimist competition held in Lecce.
In addition to performing as a soloist in numerous recitals, he regularly takes part in chamber ensembles. He has also collaborated with high-level musicians such as E. Daniels and U. Clerici.
In October 2014, he was the winner of a selection reserved for the students of the Conservatory of Monopoli and made his debut in concert with the orchestra performing the Concerto for piano and orchestra No. 1 by F. Liszt.
In November 2014 he graduated with honors the first level academic diploma and in December 2017 he obtained the II level academic diploma with honors and honorable mention.
He also took part in the specialization courses held by the Masters M. Marvulli, A. Tutunov, J. M. Goméz, R. Plano, J.F. Tiollier and M. Ferrati. He is currently attending the high-level course under the guidance of Elisso Virsaladze at the Academy of Music in Fiesole.
