Potenza, Dinu Adamesteanu Museum. The great civilizations in pills: meetings at the Museum.
The Dinu Adamesteanu Museum intends to launch a series of events entitled “The great civilizations in a nutshell: meetings at the Museum”, presenting to the public a series of themed “mini-exhibitions”, lasting one week.
The core of each exhibition will be a relic from other Museums of the Basilicata Pole.
Sunday, March 4, on the first Sunday of the month with free admission, will be inaugurated the exhibition “Princesses, priestesses and noblewomen: clues and images of the female world”.
The exhibition intends to present some of the main testimonies on the female figure in antiquity through the artifacts that are already included in the permanent exhibition of the Museum of Potenza and which will be gathered, for the occasion, in a dedicated room; central piece of the exhibition will be the head of Livia Drusilla, wife of the Roman emperor Augustus, on loan from the Grumento Museum.
